As part of a research project, the Institute of Animal Pathology in Bern is offering pathohistologic examinations of mammary tissue in cats free of charge. The aim is to characterize mammary tumors in cats in order to expand the currently limited treatment options. For the study, we need native mammary tissue from cats with suspected tumors. The tissue should be preserved in a transport medium (NOT formalin) promptly after excision. We will provide you with both the transport medium and a courier service for the shipment of samples free of charge.
