The Institute operates the public carcass disposal center for residents of the municipalities of Bern, Bremgarten, Ostermundigen, Muri-Gümligen, Bolligen and Ittigen.
Animal carcasses weighing up to 200 kg can be handed in for disposal.
Opening hours of the carcass collection point
Mondays - Fridays: 8am - 11:30am and 1pm – 3.30pm
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 8am-9am
Outside opening hours, the collection point is not staffed, and animal carcasses cannot be accepted. Residents of non-affiliated municipalities are requested to use the public disposal points in their municipalities.
