As part of a research project, the Institute of Animal Pathology in Bern is offering pathohistological examinations of melanocytic tumors free of charge. The aim is to characterize them in order to expand the currently limited treatment options. For the study we need native tissue from dogs with suspected melanoma (e.g. oral circumferential proliferation). The tissue should be preserved in a transport medium (NOT formalin) promptly after excision. We will provide you with both the transport medium and a courier service for the shipment of samples free of charge.
Further details can be found in the protocol below.
