From January 1, 2026, only emergencies will be performed on Saturdays, with a surcharge of CHF 1'000, and NO autopsies will be performed on Sundays and public holidays.

Tasks and goals
Our mission is to provide excellent practical training opportunities in diagnostic pathology for undergraduate and postgraduate students. We also maintain a diagnostic service for the Vetsuisse-Faculty and outside clients. Our practical teaching is primarily based on submissions to our diagnostic service. Our research support efforts to monitor the health status of our animal population by collaboration with relevant cantonal and federal agencies. Services include gross and microscopic examination of whole animals and organs as well as any biopsies. With regard to biopsies we provide an exceptional high standard for the interpretation of skin biopsies.
